Here is my senario and problem. Prior to upgrading all PCs on my Network with 3C905C-TX-M NIC cards all computers had no problem logging into my NT4.0 Server. My Network consists of workstations running Windows98 and WindowsNT 4.0. All workstations connect to the Fileserver via a 3com SuperStack 3300 Switch.
After upgrading all of these computers with the 3C905CTX-M NIC card, all of the NT4.0 workstations login in first time everytime. However, with the Windows98 workstations, it takes three to four login attempts before finally logging the user onto the server.
It appears that the NIC cards on the Windows98 workstations go into a sleep mode or something.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
