3B2 disk drive placed on SUN box can't run fsck

We have a 3b2/600 machine that won't boot and I took the drives out of the 3B2 and installed them on a SPARC 10 Solaris 8. I run the format command and the disk drive shows up and the partition, it shows slice 0 and 6 and swap as slice 1. The disk drives are Magnetic Peripherals 155MB and we are trying to get some files off the drive. Is there anything else we can do to access the files on the disk.
