Has anyone out there used the new 3920 Cordless and might have an opinion...I have some departments that have been waiting for the release.
Just wondering...
Thanks

i currently use the 3920. it has a really good signal strength, reaches our entire building. only thing that I am not exactly thrilled about is that we have 3 lines. there are four buttons for line and programming... however with the first 2 buttons being intercom it only leaves 2 for phone lines. leaving me wondering how to get to line 3.

One thought would be to pool the 3 lines and assign the pool to one of the buttons.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

If you assign more than 2 lines to buttons in System Programming, it will ring and pickup on the "phantom" lines, but they will not be mapped to a button, so you can't put them on hold or do anything with them!!

It's important to pool the lines to the cordless, or only assign a max of 2 lines to the 2 buttons. Also you should not include it in any voice page calling group.

Tyen...About how many square feet is your building that the 3920 cordless has a decent signal in.
I'll assume that it's all on one floor.
I'm just trying to get a feel for signal range so as not to expect to much. Also do you have a lot of steel and or concrete walls, etc...
Thanks

160 Ft range in the open is the spec so don't expect to get the 160 Ft range in a building with walls in it.

I enjoy every moment of it :)

Hate to pop Tyen's bubble but he has a 3910 not a 3920. The 3920 has 6 programable buttons for lines and features. Plus 2 intercom buttons. It also has a greater range with the use of available repeaters.
Haven't seen one in action but it sound good.

Good luck

apologies. it does seem that I have a 3910. I was looking into the 3920 and am confused.. I do not have any concrete walls but it goes through about 200 feet of drywall.

Thanks for the reply but I'm looking for someone who has had hands on use of the new 3920 and a opinion of it's true range before I purchase several of them.
Thanks anyway...

The 3920 is a very new product so it may be a while before people can give any sort of feedback on how well it works. It appears to be made by Uniden.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
