3904 sets locking up 1

Hi all

I have a large 81c which has about 4000 x 3904 sets. And I am getting about half a dozen phones a day which are locking up. Some users say that the forward function doesn't work (their phones display transfer held), yet when I trac the TN it says the phone is forwarded. The user cannot cancel the forward from the set.

I have also found that a number of these problem phones lose DTMF on the key pad, some lose part of their display.

With all these phones a reset clears the fault.

I am starting to wonder if the cleaners are using detergent that is messing with the phonesets! Is this a firmware issue?

Has anyone come across this fault

Likely, check in LD 32 the firmware of the sets, they should all be the same:

Important:
Before updating a phoneset, make sure that the phoneset is logged out and during the updating prosses do not touch or unplug the phoneset ! It could destroy the complete phoneset!

To initiate conditional download to a M390x phoneset:

FDLU 12 0 1 1 (example)

SDL001 STARTING DNLG 12 0 1 1

SDL000 3905(12 0 1 1 ), VERSION 32, MAINT MODE. <--- this takes approximately 10 minutes

During the updating prosses (approximately 10 minutes) the phone will show a progress bar on the display.

Check to see if they are rel. 1 phones on the back of the phone. Nortel can put the updated PSWV on your hard drive to
upgrade the phones for free if that is whats causing all this. Thats what I had to do and now no problems with them
after that.
