3904 directory

i need to dial a fourteen digit charge code before making a call. When i program the personal directory on my 3904 feature i am able to enter 1599999999999999 (our dummy charge code) then pause, then the ten-digit number. so i can fit all of the following: 1599999999999999#913105551212. However, in my other office i cannot fit that many digits. Is the amount of digits expandable somehow? i have no NTPs yet as they're not even out of the box yet. Please advise. Thank you!

The charge length is fine. It's the DIRECTORY feature on the M3904 that doesn't "hold" that many digits, but my NYC site does.

Check the firmware versions of the ports in LD 32. They might differ.
To check wich version of Firmware has a single M390x phoneset:

Important:
Before updating a phoneset, make sure that the phoneset is logged out and during the updating prosses do not touch or unplug the phoneset ! It could destroy the complete phoneset!

To initiate conditional download to a M390x phoneset:

FDLU LL SS CC UU

SDL001 STARTING DNLG LL SS CC UU

SDL000 3905(LL SS CC UU ), VERSION 32, MAINT MODE. <--- this takes approximately 10 minutes

During the updating prosses (approximately 10 minutes) the phone will show a progress bar on the display.

Oh that's if you use the set as a Symposium agent set. Forget this if you don't have Symposium

right. I don't. but i still have to do all that other stuff? and once I do all that stuff, how does that help me? i see nothing about the amount of digits that can be programmed as a Directory entry.

I recall that there's a difference in the firmware of the phones regarding the length of programming the softkeys (and others).
I also recall that it is not wise to have multiple firmware versions, but rather have the version which is suited for the M1 release you are running.
