Hi!

I have a situation on an Opc81 4.5w. the thing is some 3903 & 3904 phones show all the soft keys programed like forward, transfer, pick up... and others only show the keys depends of the state like only shows forward when is idle, when offhook shows pick up, and when is. the thing is that some users came from another site that was an Opc 11 and the phones there shows all the keys all the time but when we put on the Opc 81 with the same configuration some show all the keys and some not, and badly one off the phones that don't show all the keys is the boss one.

The question is this thing is related to the firmware ore it's the release of the equipment or what. I have an 3904 on my extension and it shows only some keys depends on the state, I tried to download the firmware from the PBX, I did it but didn't make nothing.

Please help on this!

Thanks!

Albert

Are you sure about the reports from the customer that moved from the opt 11? I think the way you described your phone is the way it is supposed to work, the soft keys change based on the state of the phone.

I've seen this on Opt 11s too so unless you've seen it yourself don't take what the customer says as absolute.

The soft keys definately change depending on the state of the phone, your customer is mistaken.

No the thing is that I have the situation right at on my phone and on my partner one. Mine is showing keys depending on the state and my partner one shows all the keys and both are 3904 and are configured the same and actually my partner one is a copy of mine as long I remember. So the thing is I never took attention to this until now, but the issue it's true.

I printed the versions of the firmware on the PBX and for the 3904 is 90 so my phone was on 83 and my partner is on 29, so I think it's something like the firmware becouse the 3903's of the users are diferents versions too.

I don't know what to do.

I would update all the phones to one standard and be done with it. Explain thats the way it is and the customer has to adjust to it then. You can't downgrade the firmware as far as I know.

Ok, guys!

I will try to convince the user.

thanks!

My friends!

I did the test and is the firmware issue, older firmwares show all the soft keys, newer firmwares shows keys depending on the state. I download the new firmware to the phone of my partner and it change to show only some keys depending on the state of the phone. the question right now is from what version of firmware change to this.

Thanks!

You can down grade the firmware,if you have it use the ele man or its a bit of a pain.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
