I have a new 3845 with a HWIC-D-9ESW 9-port switch card and a NAM module installed.
Due to the layer 2 nature of the switch card ports VLANs must be created and IP addresses assigned to the VLAN vice the port itself.
For example I have a VLAN 10 configured with the IP address of 10.156.183.193 255.255.255.192 and assigned fa0/1/0 to that VLAN.
When I try to configure the NAM and assign it address 10.156.183.200 I get the message that the IP address is used by VLAN10.
Any ideas how to configure the NAM IP in this case?
