Hello all,
First time posting here so if my jargon or lingo is off stay with me. I am troubleshooting a Cisco 3800 series router for my company. I get alot of these in and while I am no expert by any means I can handle most of them. This one booted up and gave me this error:
Memory byte = 0xa000000008555554
Memory byte = 0x0000003455555554
Memory error location = 0xa00055d0
Lower 64K Memory test error !!!
Memory byte = 0xa000000008555554
Memory byte = 0x0000003455555554
Memory error location = 0xa00055d0
Lower 64K Memory test error !!!
So I replaced the SDRAM memory and it booted properly without issue. I thought I was out of the woods. I went to go through my normal procedures the console worked fine and I upgraded the Switch's IOS deleted the TXT configuration I used and write erased the rest to set it back to put on the shelf. I went back to the RTR to do the same deleted the TXT file and wr er and when I reloaded it froze up at this screen:
Proceed with reload? [confirm]
*May 28 19:08:33.359 GMT: %SYS-5-RELOAD: Reload requested by admin on console. Reload Reason: Reload Command.

Total memory size = 768 MB - DIMM0 = 256 MB, DIMM1 = 512 MB
c3825 platform with 786432 Kbytes of main memory
Main memory is configured to 72/72(dimm 0/1) bit mode with ECC enabled
Upgrade ROMMON initialized
program load complete, entry point: 0x8000f000, size: 0xcb40
program load complete, entry point: 0x8000f000, size: 0xcb40
From there it just froze. I tried to restart the router and I can't even get anything from the console port. I didn't plug anything into the console port that would burn it out so I'm not sure what would have caused this or how I go about fixing it. So I turn to yall what say you? If you need more info please let me know. Baud rate is 9600-8-N-1
