Has anyone seen this error, VMPRO is running, SSA sees it, IPO r8.056,Greetings and vm boxes no longer work. All greetings are there. the IT guy upgraded the vm pro pc to windows 10 from windows 7 and this started happening. rebooting ipo brings it back and restarting voicemail pro in windows services brings it back. It last for a month or so and then I get 3798181475mS PRN: VMAIL - VMSEQ Retransmission and greetings stop.

Any help would be appreciated

vmpro r8 is not supported in windows 10, check the release note.

I have the following running fine on Windows 10 boxes, IPO with vm pro 8.1,7.039,9.09, Thanks for the quick response but it has to be something else. I would like to know what PRN: VMAIL - VMSEQ Retransmission (from Monitor) means. I can't get the answer, I think it has to do something with TCP. Once I restart voicemail pro in windows services it will not give me a problem for 2-4 weeks

My voicemail pro still has this issue every couple of months and is driving me nuts, Has anyone heard of this issue ? PRN: VMAIL - VMSEQ Retransmission (from Monitor) means.

There is your problem.
The customers IT should not be upgrading telecoms equipment (it may look like a pc but they should be considering it an appliance)
as others have said windows 10 is not supported, you may THINK you have other systems working fine but this may simply be they are not using the feature that triggers the issue.

This is one of many reason why I always recomend application sserver over windows servers & one of the reasond why Avaya have stopped developoing for windows.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Like it has been pointed out most likely the cause is running Win10 for R8 vmpro. One thing you can check is the power settings on the computer. Make sure the computer is not going to sleep and is not allowing the hard drive to go to sleep as this can cause issues with VMpro. About the only thing I can think of other then incompatibility.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

I should have just kept this simple, voicemail pro works fine on all my locations running windows 7 or 10. VM Pro 7,8,9,10 and 11 work fine. On one site only I get an error and voicemail pro has to be restarted every 3 months - this is what monitor reports: PRN: VMAIL - VMSEQ Retransmission

So my simple question should have been has anyone seen this error? and if so what causes it?

Correct. You should be upgrading that equipment long before their IT staff ever noticed it needed to be udpated.

If I'm managing the IT and you're managing the telephone equipment, and there is a machine you manage on the network that is a COMPLIANCE VIOLATION, it needs dealt with. If you haven't/can't, then I'm either updating it myself or finding another telcom vendor.

Searching tek-tips for "VMSEQ Retransmission" brings up this post and this post only. The fact you are not getting any responses with anyone seeing this issue before, and you are running an unsupported setup, sure points towards Win10 not working with VMPro R8.0. You could very well have other sites where it works but that doesn't mean that is not the issue here. I see people say they have setup a SCN with embedded voicemail, and it works, but that doesn't mean it will always work and never have bugs that is not how it works.

Bottom line is you need to try changing your setup to something that is supported and see if it resolves your issue.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
