I have some 3750 that were removed from a stack. The swith has been renumbered to 1, but I cannot do the no switch provision xxxx I get the error "%IDBs can not be removed when switch is active"

The switch is:

Switch# Role Mac Address Priority State
--------------------------------------------------------
*1 Master 0018.7319.c700 1 Ready

The interfaces show up as 1/0/x. Is this all normal. Is the normal "unstacked" operation of a 3750 is essential a single stack?

Yes, a standalone 3750's interfaces are numbered 1/0/x
