Hi Everyone,
I am working on my first Avaya IP Office installation, though I do have some experience with other types of pbx systems and voip. I will be installing systems at 7 locations, consisting of 7-IP 500 V2 control units, 30-9508 digital phones and 22-3740 IP DECT handsets. The issue I am trying to resolve is with getting "In Call" features like Transfer, New Call, End Call and such to show up on the 3740 handset under the "More" middle softkey. The only features listed out of the box are Mute and Messaging.
I was able to get Call Services to show up under a "More" right softkey when the phone is idle, like Call Park, DND, and FWD options, but only if I configured my IP DECT compact base station using the "provisioning mode" in IP Office. An additional feature which showed up when provisioning was a code letter next to the extension number on the phone's home screen which gave phone status, like being on hold. This is certainly helpful.
Am I missing something here that I have failed to apply, or is using an advanced charger and programming through a template with WinPDM the only way to get these "In Call" features to be visible.
Here are the versions I am employing:
IP Office 9.1.3
Base Station IPBS2 7.1.14
IP DECT 3740 4.3.3
Any help from you experts out there would be appreciated.
Thanks!
