3725 Dect Phone VM Programming

Adding some 3725 Dect phones to our IP-Dect (not R4) system. Got everything worked out except I cannot get the VM to connect via the system menus. Our shortcode is *17 and I used the WinPDM to change the Voice Mail Number to *17 but when the phone tries to connect to check voice mail it goes to dial tone then after a few seconds displays INCOMPATIBLE tried R*17 as well but got the same result. System Status show the handset State as dialing but nothing else.

I was able to label and program a softkey to VM and dial *17 to connect but I would like to get it working via the menus/prompts as well.

I am using WinPDM 3.8.5 and the 3725's are all on the most recent firmware.

Any suggestions?

That option only works on the dect r4.
