Because they are good kit and bulletproof DECT, better than the clunky crap R4 stuff in my opinion, don't know why Avaya changed it after such a short time

Andy, are you serious???
The 3711 breaks straight away when you drop it.
The ugly licensing of the basestations.
I have seen none of that on the R4.
I think the R4 is way better.

Try Mitel, you might be able to upgrade them if you have a cable.

I am serious, the licensing was not so bad once they started doing pre-licenced base stations, and we had loads of them out there and rarely got complaints of them breaking when dropped, perhaps they were a particularly carefull bunch, I have seen loads of stupid issues with R4 both here and in practice
