I hope i'm not typing this just to bitch and someone may possibly know the code word to get me out of the cycle of trash i got into.

One of my sites has three 721 tables for a 3700 system and without fail in the upper left portion of the touch screen there is a series of bubbles that appears as if someone is "touching" the screen and they are rapid and persistent for anything between a few seconds to several minutes. This obviously doesn't allow the operator to use the tablet during that time. I have a hardware warranty on them and i have contacted support about this and they very willingly sent a tech out to swap all three out with replacements. Low and behold the bubbles returned on the new tablets. Again through support and 3 new ones.... you guessed it... bubbles are back.

The tech told me that this is a common problem with some 721's and its the internal battery on that portion of the device that expands and contacts the touch screen. He also informed me that all hardware service requests are replaced with referb units. How can i get Oracle to buck up and send me a new device with out paying retail? Should remove the internal battery i don't believe it serves any real purpose anyway?

Sincerely,
Someone who's seriously debating serving sushi on top of $2500 tablets because at least then they will have a use.

The problem was related to the bridge battery. See here

All of the problem tablets had that CBR sticker as indicated on the doc. But since that battery really only serves a purpose to keep the tablet alive during a main battery swap and extend that last 2% battery life we decided to take the bridge battery out. We saw a noticeable improvement in functionality after removing it.
