can anyone help? I have a rochelle caller id box, but no idea how to make it work????

"Use the following steps to install Caller ID with the Rochelle Box.

1. Add the following registry entry to the server:
*COM1 is the default setting. If using Caller ID on a COM port other than COM1, be sure to set
the value accordingly.
2. Attach the Rochelle Caller ID box to the correct COM port on the
Server.
3. Start the MICROS Caller ID Service from the Windows Control
Panel Services.
Note Before installing Caller ID with the Rochelle box, contact
the phone company to have the phone line split so that
one part goes to the phone and the other part goes to the
Rochelle box.
