Im going to replace our old router for a new 3620 in our main location. There are 3 remote locations connected over frame relay. Could i just purchase 1 serial interface and configure subinterfaces for the 3 locations or do I have to buy 3 seperate serial interfaces for each location. Could someone post a config, thanks.

As long as you have a frame.. subinterfaces with each PVC are the way to go.

Without any more info.. I would go point to point and bypass some of the broadcast issues with multipoint.. along with split horizon issues etc.. There are times for multipoint but if yo have the choice.. P2P is pretty straightforward.

Thanks guys for the advice We use RIP with 4 routers 1 central and three remote locations. I have a question if 2 serial ports on the same router are sharing a fractional T1 do you need to specify what channels go to what serial port, thanks.
Each Channel is 64K so if you have a 128K port then two channels. Channels also called time slots 1 through 24 ie 1,2 or 2,3 and so on. You would need to know from the Frame provider what channels they are providing for the bandwidth that you have bought for each Frame port on your fractional T1. If you have an external CSU/DSU then the channel config would need to be on that box. If CSU/DSU is in the router then config there as to what channels frame provider says.
