We have a 3592 E05 (TS1120) and every time we try to load an extended (300GB) tape into the drive ti doesn't even tread and we get an ATTN load error. I can load cleaning tapes in and the normal lower capacity tapes in fine.

We had this same problem before and I thought it was a driver/microcode issue, but I can not seem to find the correct one to fix this.

I dont know if it is any help but we are running this in J1A emulation, density set to from media, and these are brand new tapes, direct from IBM, blank, not labeled or initialized (we label and initialize in house)

Never mind, customer ordered the wrong format, they wanted these to be initialized as E05, These tapes were never supposed to be used in a J1A drive.
