Hi everyone,
Just a simple question. I need to buy a 24 port, layer 3 switch to replace my 3560G, we dont need any special features like wireless controler etc, just the ip services.
What new model are the best to buy?

Thanks

Current model wise to get the same features you would need a 3560X (WS-C3560X-24T-E), however Cisco want you to move to the 3850/3650 range and have priced them the same if I recall correctly - i.e. a non-PoE 24-port 3560X with IP Services license will be the same price as a non-PoE 24-port 3650 with IP Services license. Configuration wise they are very similar, but there are differences - QoS for example is completely different between the two platforms - the 3650 looking more like a Router.

I recently rolled out 98 of the 48 port 3850s in the access layer. Generally happy with them. Had a couple of issues with stack sizes on an earlier version of IOS-XE but sorted now. Been pretty stable and only had to RMA 1 of them due to a fault.

Thanks for the suggestions, have a great Holidays.
