Hi All,

Has anyone hit any gotcha's with the 3550 running L3 routing. Just curious if I would have a performace issue on the 3550 for the below set-up.

3550 connecting to a 6500 over a 10MB ethernet presentation circuit.

There would be 4 x 3550's on this remote site, with about 100 users and 3 vlans along with this 10MB routed link back to HQ 6500 ... Will be running VOIP on the 3550 site back to the 6500 site ... this remote site with the 3550 will be a DR site and servers will be sync between both sites ... curious if the 3550 with EMI can handle a routed 10MB link and do local switching and routing etc.

Anyone had any issues with something like the above. Also can the 3550 handle a 100MB routed link? , as they might want to upgrade later.

Tnxs in advance.

I think the 3550 will handle that ok ,I would be more worried about running all that traffic across a 10 meg link . I would keep a close eye on the utilization of that link .

I'm running 100MB all accross my network on my 3550 and haven't had any problems.
