has anyone run into this issue....every box is checked to have it collate the print job - it just won't do it.

i have one document that has 35 pages and i need 25 copies....instead of getting 25 documents neatly - i get 35 stacks with 25 sheets each which i then have to hand collate - never saw anything so crazy myself and noone at hp can seem to answer the question.

any and all help would be appreciated.

Hope this helped!

What have you tried ?

i have tried everything i know of....i have checked to make sure that in the print dialog box in word and the driver box are both checked for collate...

i have had my network it staff go through it and they even contacted hp and can't come up with a solution.

it's just strange that my little hp5 can collate print jobs with less memory available and the color one with 64 mgs can't.

i'm dumbfounded.

Hope this helped!

We have had collate issues with Word when collating was set on the driver. I was told (by someone with more experience) that Word actually cancels out the driver setting. Checking the collate box in Word turns off the driver setting. Try it without the collate box checked in Word and see what happens. It works for us!

I think the same goes for Excel...
