35/70gb dlt not working on proliant 3000

hi
we have proliant 3000 with piii 500*2 , 9.1gb*6 & 18.4gb*4 hot swapable hard disk , 35/70gb dlt tape drive.
dlt drive reinitialised after 2 min in diag test of tape.
but if i connect dlt in ml350 it works fine.

What could be problem ?

it is connected to internal scsi controller . i try both onboard controller

What SCSI ID is the DLT drive set to? Could you have a conflict with another SCSI device in the server?
