340 says processing but no printing

Hi,
I have spent a long long time trying to get this machine working. I'm running winXP, have installed the printer, it shows on my printer list. I set timeouts to 850. I try to print a page and the printer says processing but doesn't print anything. On the printer window on my computer it says...spooling... printing...delP, as if it printed ok. I can print test pages, menu map, etc from the printer. I'm using a bidirectional cable and have the printer set to LPT1. It must be something I haven't set up right on my PC.
Can someone please help me?

Do you have LPT1 Enabled in your bios. and check devivce manager for any errors

Hi,
Thankyou. I don't show any errors in device drivers. I don't know how to get the bios to see if LPT1 is enabled.
