I have configured the switch with the enchanced embedded voicemail and it all works like a dream... but i have a gremlin which i can't get rid off it!...

Basically when the users program the press 2 for cell phone it tries to dial out but it goes quiet and then starts the voicemail message again?...

All trunks, vm ports and extensions have "transfer to external destination" set to yes in the COS... all of the above have a COR which allows to ring mobiles...

I have also tried the full number ie 907987123456 and a speed call which overides toll charges... but still to no avail it wont work!!!

HELP!!!

Trunks & vamil ports COS option 'public trunk - public trunk connection allowed' should be set to yes.

Public network via DPNSS in the COS of the Voicemail ports?

Assuming the VM port is allowed by COS and COR to transfer the call. This can be verified by assigning the cos and cor to a standard set an then simulating the answer and transfer of an outside call.

Additional step required:
Make sure NON-Verified account code is enabled in the COS of the VM port and that the account code length is the same length as the VM extension number. It is also important the the VM port NOT contain any special characters such as * or #.

Ok... I have done the above and still no joy... I think it might be a case of going back to site to have a play with some options...

Unless anyone else has any further ideas i can try?... please?

Scrub that!!!...kwmmitel... it was the account code length...!!! Cheers for all your help!

Be vary wary using this feature and make sure none of your voicemail users are using a simple password such as 1234 etc, also make sure your voicemail ports are restricted from dialling premium rate/international numbers as this is a huge security risk.

When I enable this I normaly restrict the vmail ports from dialling anywhere and if a user wants to add an option they must request a speedcall to be programmed that overides toll control.

mitelmania & bobcheese,

I have already done this so that they can only use there company mobile numbers or there mobile speed dials!... But it is a very very goog point!

If you stick with the Speeddial solution, change the Account code length back to what it was when it failed.

The ports will dial up to 7 digits without using an account code allowing you to use speedcall to your heart's content but restricting users that try to get by without.

I did try the speed dial solution before changing the account code length... that also didn't work... but once i have changed the account code length the speeddials and the full number worked?... ???

Never mind... it works now and the ld saying don't fix it if it aint broke works for me!... lol
