On a 3300ICP, can a hunt group be created from "Nowhere Prime" lines? If so, can a DID # be directed to ring into this group?

For "Prime" and "non-Prime" line types this can be done. I just want to be certain that a hunt group can also be formed from "Nowhere Prime" lines.

Yes, a Hunt Group's Pilot DN can equal a DID.

You can also use the system speed dial entries to direct a DID to the HG if the incoming DID digits do not match your dialing plan.

By "nowhere" I am assuming you mean a Single Line, Keysystem Line, or Multi-line of a non-prime DN. Yes, a "nowhere" DN can be a member in a HG as long as it exists on a Multiline set somewhere.

Thanks! Yes, the "nowhere prime" (fictitious) DN would be a key system line. We want to create a "department number" that is independent of anyone's prime line, and that has rollovers so that more than one call can be handled. This is why we want to be able to create a hunt group comprised of "nowhere prime" lines. (We didn't want a "multicall" line.) A DID # delivered via an ISDN PRI that people call from the outside would ring into this group.

We would also like to have this group appear on several phones (i.e. bridged). Is it possible to have "privacy" defaulted to "off" for all the "nowhere prime" lines in this group?

How is licensing handled for "nowhere prime" lines?

You describe an ACD functionality. You create an ACD path where all the calls for your DID will be routed and people from your department will login when ready to receive calls and then logout.
When you say "bridged" it sounds like multicall. Besides that I don't understand how a group can appear on phones. If a DN is a member of a group it will ring according to rules of this group.

Could you describe your question in simple words, without "prime line" "bridged" and etc. Just tell us who and how suppose to receive calls.

Actually I don't think ACD will do what you asked.

Key system lines can be created on every phone. Each Key system line would need a unique DN.

The hunt group DN(Pilot) would be programmed as the DID local.

The key system lines would then be added as members of the hunt group.

The Privacy feature would need to be turned off on the sets where the keys reside. This would also impact their Prime lines.(not recommended)

The Key System Lines could be placed on hold and picked up at another station.

The Hunt group could be routed on Busy/No Ans to another destination via the rerouting forms if desired.

The Hunt Group can also be forwarded manually if Third Party Call forward is enabled on the initiating set.

Consistancy... Is only a virtue when you're not a total screwup.

kwbMitel, you have it exactly correct. I did some additional checking and thinking today, and that is the way to do it.

It would have been nice to have privacy off on those lines only, but it's not essential, and a Privacy toggle button will be acceptable instead.

Thanks again for the responses.
