We have two sites, one in the states and one off-shore connected via IP Trunks. When dialing into our main number, we can dial either site no problem with 5 digit dialing. If someone 0's out or waits, the offshore operator will answer. They then ask to be transferred to their repective party.

Our problem is that when calls that are transferred back across the link try to go to the Busy or No Answer destination, which is our VM pilot, we hear the Operator mailbox at the off shore location, and not our voicemail boxes.

When calling inbound and we get the U.S. operator (they are in a networked hunt group) and they transfer a call, we get the voicemail box as normal.

I've checked the forward delay timers but can't see where this is not working. One item I will try to resolve is that both sites use the same vm pilot number for the voicemail, so I will change it to see if changing it will affect things. Thanks for any advice.

I think I had a similar problem but I'm not sure. On my site calls were answered by voicemail auto-attendant. Callers would dial zero to the operator. The operator would transfer the call to the persons cell phone on pri trunks. If she released the call right away and the cell phone did not answer, the call recalled back to the autoattendant voicemail. If she let it ring once before releasing the transfer, the call would forward to the cell users voicemail. I increased my transfer recall timers from default 17s to 25s and the problem disappeared.

Good luck.

That worked for half my problem. Now, I can call in via PRI, dial an extension in the other site, get VM, press *, get up to the autoattendant, dial back my desk phone, and it will now reach my voicemail.

But, if I call in via PRI, dial 0, I get the operator, which is an extension on the far site. I ask her to dial my desk phone (I am calling from outside via cell), it will ring through, but the recall timeout destination keeps going back to the Operator mailbox at the far site, not to my VM. I've reset the recall timers for all sets, the PRI trunk, the VM ports on both sides, and still I cannot get to my phone. The call rerouting is for our VM pilot number on my phone. Everything looks like it should work, but it is not. Any ideas?

The transfer recall timer of the operator is not mentioned.

It turned out it was teh Campon Recall Timer. It was still set to 10 seconds. Once I added that to the mix, it worked. Thanks for the assist.
