I have a 3300 cxi controller with a built in layer-2 switch. The layer 2 ports are not providing any power for the ip phones. If i use a terminal emulator on the maintenance port, the system issues the following:
"low mips (resetting mips processor)"

I have no alarms on the system, i have use the maintenance commands l2 poesatatus and everything seems to be ok.

Has anybody come across this before.

OHHH and one other issue on a totally different site.
After a new 3300cxi install running on rel 8. The bri trunks seize up and the ip sets cannot dial out issuing 'access denied' on all phones upon dialling out and no calls can be received either. Upon system reset, everything is ok again. but this goes down again almost every 2 days, i have swapped out the chassis and the fault persists, could this be a bug on release 8 ?

Thanks for your suggestions and replies

Is the PoE status set to Disabled in the IP Networking tab?

Is the BRI programmed correctly? Unfortunately BRI is not supported in by my team so I can not provide assistances there - I'm sorry.

I have had a little problem with the switch, it didnt work at all, I had forgotten to give the switch its own ip-adres, after that it worked fine.

Other than that, I'm running 8.0 UR1 on a CXi with a quad-BRI mmc, works fine

The layer 2 switch has an ip address and poe is set to auto in the ip-networking tab, everything seems to be ok, but still no power on the layer 2 switch, the error msg from the maintenace port is as follows and continuously repeats:
