We have to do some maintenance work to various parts of our comms room over the next few weeks.

My question is that if I power down our 6110 server, will the 3300 buffer the data (and if so how much)?

The power down will happen on a weekend so the call centre is not mega busy, so should be a load of data.

Many thanks.

It will buffer a certain amount of data ( normally 10,000 records ). The problem for you is how long it will take your system to fill those 10,000 records. It will take longer on a weekend. Maybe you could move the server to a location where it could continue to collect day during your work. It can pretty much be anywhere on the network.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
