Hi all

Apart from snmp, does anyone know if the 3300 product can generate syslog messaging??

Alternatively, can ENT / OPS generate syslog.

Have a client who has asked if possible, no reason or detail given yet, just asking the question.

The 3300 cannot that I know of (though it can raise SNMP traps)

I too would be interested in having the existing log messages sent via syslog, maybe something to add to the feature request thread

Yep familiar with snmp side of things...Fairly straight forward.

Have searched MOL knowledge base for syslog and come up with zip...

Thanks for response

lots of people have asked for syslog logging but currently it is not supported
There is a Mitel logviwer which you can connect to collect logfiles in realtime but it is not configurable like a syslog server.

We use this at mitel to diagnose the logfiles on the the 3300 I suspect you may have asked to send the logfiles to support when you have had an issue.
You can use in 2 ways online (connected via IP to 3300 controller) or offline from a captured logfile.

Will have a look at the logviewer app, may not suit my client's needs but sounds like an interesting tool to expliot
