3300 sip trunks

Got a 3300 lx on version 8.0.8.8 with 1 sip trunk installed. The sip trunk actually works fine but there is a critical sip link alarm on the system. If a call is done through sip, it clears the alarm but comes back 3 minutes later. In other words, whenever the sip trunk isnt being used, there is a sip link alarm. I have enabled nat keepalive in sip peer profile.

Any ideas ?

You need to check that the sip provider is responding to the are u there messages sent out by the 3300 and that they are being recieved on the correct port.
If not you need to make sure firstly the sip provider is sending them and then look at the firewall to make sure its forwrding it to the correct port 5060 on the 3300.

Turn on "Keep Alive" in the SIP Trunking Profile (sounds like your firewall is blocking the UDP connection after three minutes of inactivity.
