I have a 3300 which is set to send out extensions ddi if available otherwise if no ddi then another number is sent which, when rung back goes to the switchboard. Intermittently when dialling out the bearer number is sent (which, you probably guessed is the CEO's number). I have tested every phone dialling out and they all send the correct number, except that twice the bearer number was sent, but dialling again from the same phone sent the correct ddi.

Try to find out what phone was calling and what they were dialing and duplicate the scenario.

Once you can dupe it, the fix should be obvious.

Also, for issues like these it might be useful to know what country you are in as the PSTN protocols vary between Europe and North America and the answers might not be the same.

I am in the UK, and I called from a 5224 whilst running CCS trace and they look identical when sending ddi and bearer number.

There are more comprehensive traces

NSU - Maint Port 38400/n/8/1
- Type option +dispcall

This will display the CLID as delivered to the PSTN

On embedded I dont know the exact command but there are many EDT commands and one of them might do the same trick

EDT Trace looks good.
