Hi,

I hope this isn't a stupid question - but aside from replacing the phone and not assuming this user has been called the last 3 days by someone who hits the callback button....

We have a user that has their mesg light on everyday this week and checks their voicemail and there are no mesgs?
Then, apparently the mesg light goes off and teh next day it is on again? If it were a callback button - wouldn't they have to choose the message button and respond to the callback?

Not dial into voicemail with our system speed dial number and enter their passcode, etc.

Make sense?
Any ideas are much appreciated!

Thanks,

-SP

Fixable in the COS of your users' sets.
The parameter is Disable Send Message = Yes

This will require that you have a separate class of service for your voicemail ports than for your users, which you should have anyway.

Once configured it will prevent callers from leaving a "callback" message.

This problem occurs so frequently that I personally feel Mitel needs to default this parameter to YES, thus forcing lazy techs to specifically configure separate classes of services and learn about the feature (MIMB now climbs down off his soapbox)

HI MIMB,

I'll try your suggestion and let you know.
Thanks for the help.

Your issue sounds similar to a previous thread.

Thanks KwbMitel.

I see this trhead is a bit more complicated that I may have time to fix.
I'll call the vendor perhaps if MIMB's sugestion does not work and let them help out.

It is only one analog phone set on our 3300.

Thanks!

Is this analog phone a member of any hunt groups? if so....is it the first member of any hunt groups?

Hi knipe,.

Not a memeber of any hunt groups I know of - just an old analog phone in our machine shop...

Thanks.
