3300 Full Mailbox Alert on Console

Hi all,

I have customer with a 3300, and when a mailbox has reached its limit it calls the consoles and they get the automated vm lady saying something along the lines of "Fred Bloggs (name is spoken by person who has recorded they'rename in mailbox set-up) mailbox is full", is there anyway to stop this, i have looked at COS options but cant really see anything.

No there is no way to stop this, it is a system setting hard coded. You could increase the number or saves msgs not sure why someone keeps 50 msg anyways but it happens.
Mailbox full follows the 0 out point, when a mailbox is full it will play this mailbox full msg then will send you to the ext programmed in the 0 mailbox.

 
woody1976, Is it a case of the caller being notified and then transfered to the reception as 1help1 is assuming or is the mailbox taking action all by itself to call the SBRD and notify of a full MB as your post seems to state.

If former, yes that's the way it works.

If latter, never encountered this scenario before.

It is the latter kwbmitel, the mailbox is full and the system seems to take its own action to inform the console, if this is a hardcoded system feature like 1help1 says i am worried what would happen in a scenario with no console as we do many installs without a console and just a normal handset.
 
I guess we need to start over.

Is this Embedded Mail or Other

Does this happen with more than 1 mailbox

Is it an option to increase Max Message storage to 99

Are there any external notification options turned on other than lamping

This sounds very weird and may take a while.

It is just standard 3300 embedded voicemail, just this mailbox so far, it is th group IT director so i imagine a lot of unwanted messages! I have informed my contact on site to increase allowed messages to 100 for now, don't know what you mean by other notifications at the moment just normal mwi.

You might want to consider deleting and recreating the VM if the problem continues.

Definitely not normal.
