Hello,

I am running a 3300 ver 6.1 and am having a hard time getting the Forward to Voicemail functionality to work.

I have entered the local network address (192.168.10.10) of our email server (Exchange 2003) under the System Options Assignment for "Email Server", and also added "administrator@abc.com" for the Senders Email Address. (using our actual domain instead of abc)

I then enabled it on the setting of my own mailbox with my own email address on the same domain ("me@abc.com")

I receive the following errors in the software log:

- Unexpected Result->Cvm_server_tbl::GetLocalRecord() Failed to find a local record. Check the NVM Servers table to make sure that there is a local record.

- CSMTPClientMsg::EstablishSMTPSession Connect socket of <192.168.10.55> to server <192.168.10.10> failed: errno <60> Look into IP programming in ESM menu System Options. If IP is OK then server is not ready.

- CSMTPClientMsg::processResult - Look into SOCKET error number <60> <0> bytes transferred.

- CSMTPClientMsg::processResult - Failed sending Voice Mail to Email: From Vpim: To Mailbox: 1685 To Domain: me@abc.com File Name: N_V45184f40.00c.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Hayden

Hayden, not sure if this will help but I have seen this before and I fixed it here by making the mailbox names simple.

Like instead of may Hayden Surname maybe something like hayden_s or hayden_surname.

Hope this helps

Also does your exchange do a reverse DNS lookup, if so make sure you have a DNS entry for your controller

Go to Networked Vmail Servers and make sure your local system is in there. Vmail system name and PBX system name must match as well, otherwise you'll get errors.

OK, by adding the local system to the Networked Vmail Server, I stop getting the first message.

I continue to get the other 3 messages. I added a new IP to the exchange server and a SMTP connection specifically for the Mitel box that has no filters on it and allows relaying, etc.

I then tried to create a simple mailbox name "1685" (same as the 3300 mailbox name). No luck. It seems to me the problem is more connection related, than the actual mailbox or authentication itself.

These are the messages now, with no information masked:

- CSMTPClientMsg::EstablishSMTPSession Connect socket of <192.168.10.55> to server <192.168.10.11> failed: errno <60> Look into IP programming in ESM menu System Options. If IP is OK then server is not ready.

- CSMTPClientMsg::processResult - Look into SOCKET error number <60> <0> bytes transferred.

- CSMTPClientMsg::processResult - Failed sending Voice Mail to Email: From Vpim: To Mailbox: 1685 To Domain: 1685@pacifica.mu File Name: N_V45190082.009.

OK, I seem to have fixed the problem. I started using the external IP of our email server.

I guess the 3300 did not like talking to it on our network, and wants to go through the public side?

It wouldn't care, it's a TCP session. It doesn't care what it gets for a HELO from the remote system. I suspect a network issue, but hey, if it's working, go for it!
