Ok, I more than likely will be migrating to some 3300's from some Avaya PBX(s) next year. What I'm looking at right now are some smartphones (most likely Treo 700w running Windows Mobile 5) and want to know if anyone has run any SIP software on Windows Mobile 5 or above to use with the Mitel's. If so, who was the manufacturer of the software?

My recommendation is to go with Blackberry.

I cannot comment any further then that. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

My problem with the Blackberry is that our software applications we currently use are licensed and developed for Palm or Windows Mobile (WM5/6) only, no RIM support as of this time. My other reason for not looking to heavily into Blackberry is since we will have Exchange 2007, this would require me to also invest in yet another server to run BES to get e-mail when Exchange out the box alone will Active Synch with WM5/6 or Palm.

Have you checked out Microsoft OCS 2007 and it's SIP phone devices. There is a nice integration with the 3300, Exchange 2007 and OCS.

I plan on implementing OCS2007 and Exchange2007 UM next year when I migrate to a 3300; but what I'm trying to determine now is what SIP client software are people using on their Windows Mobile phone, if anyone is trying this, and how has it functioned with a Mitel's system (good, bad, ugly)?

TheMitelGuy... Is there something coming down the pipe that will be advantageous with Mitel and Blackberry? I know you said you couldn't comment further, but maybe just a little intel... Please...

Thanks.
