Hello,

What is the difference between BackupExec 11d 32bit vs 64bit?
I need to backup: windows 2K /2003 fileservers, SQL2000/2005, TFS server, all running 32bit.
Do I need to purchase the 64bit?
Do I gain performance by using the 64bit version?
Are there any issues/problems using the 64bit version, and backing up 32bit systems?
Are the agent’s 32/64bit dependency?
Can I backup 64bit systems with the BackupExec 32bit version?
In the future we will have Exchange2007

Thanks,

64-bit version you need a 64-bit Windows Operating system and the hardware to handle it. There is no seperate purshcase for 64-bit software. The license will work for either one you just need to download the correct version for you OS/Hardware

You can backup a remote 64-bit server with a 32-bit media server.

We're running the 64bit version and it doesn't seem to be any faster than the 32 bit version.
