Server has 6-64bit slot, 2-66Mhz occupied by RAID controller, can i use standard 33Mhz PCI cards and use them on other 33Mhz (64bit) slot ?

as far as voltage and compatible ?

You can use a 32 bit card in any 64 bit slot as long as voltage is same, usually 3.3V.

However make sure that the slot is not on the same bus as your RAID controller or it will be slowed to 33Mhz. Most of the current servers have at least a primary and secondary PCI bus.

In your case if the slot is specifically marked as 33Mhz then you shouldn't have any problems.

thanks ntinlin

yes the ML370 G2 has two slot tie up with RAID controller, which other one are running on 3.3Volts
