32bit application on 64 bit kernel

hi there, after we upgrade our kernel from 32 bit kernel to 64 bit kernel, our application (database and application) are having problems. during peak periods some users cannot connect and the database goes down. OS users have no problem.

we are still using the 32 bit application sinc it is suported (orcale).

any parameters we can check on OS and database/application?
