-329 error in Informix

Hi All,

I am getting error 329: Database not found or no system permission while trying to run DATABASE <dbname>. I have checked the permissions on the log files specified in syslogs, checked the permissions on the db everything is fine. DBPATH has the path of the database i.e dbname.dbs.

I am not understanding why I am getting this error. Can anyone help me in this.
