Hi all,

When I install driver for tape drive, there are 32-bit version and 64-bit version drivers. What are these mean? Are these related to my OS? How do i determine the bit number in both Win2K and Solaris? Thank you very much.

Cheers, Have a nice day ;-)

You can find out what version you are running on Solaris by using the following command --> isainfo -v.

Windows only runs in 32bit.

There are a few editions of Windows Server 2003 that are 64-bit. Not installations around though, since there aren't that many applications ported to Itanium yet.

In other words what cmorrall is saying that you have a 32bit version of Windows, because 64 is so rare you would know it if you had it.
