Jim,
There are many options. One is InstallShield Express (a free, limited version of which comes with VFP 7.0 and later).
The program I use, and am happy to recommend, is Inno Setup. It's lightweight, easy to use, and is free.
Whatever you decide on, it won't affect the executable in any way. You can leave the app just as it is.
