308 DR5.1 system

I have a client were we replaced a system last year with a referb 3x8 DR5.1 unit.
He has lines from a Telco over coax and then they use a modem to give him lines out.
The issue has been lately that lines disappear from telephone for a few seconds then come back. So you are on line 1 speaking and then the people say can you speak up please, or the line cuts off all voice for 2-3 seconds then comes back. I have had it happen on lines 1 and 2. I cant say if its the modem or the 3x8. I added line 3 today and a few times the new line was there and then gone for a few seconds. After a wile of testing lines were there all the time. Its not a set issue for sure I think I would get the Telco to replace the modem first as a test to see if the issue still happens. Then put in a different system perhaps.

They're using a gateway to convert from SIP to analog. What you are experiencing is just packet loss. Take it up with the cable provider. It's not the Norstar.
