3 X 8 Dr5.1 software and line appearances

Can anyone tell me if I am stuck with this or not.

When the first systems that ran the T series phones from Nortel came out the line appearances were stuck in the MIDDLE of the phone!!

I tried F*81 to move them, but all I got was the invalid location. Can anyone tell me if the 3 X 8 with DR 5.1 software is stuck like this or if there is a workaround.

I know that all of the intelligence is on the system, but could this be a phone issue???

Please let me know.

T7316E phones were recognized propoerly from Rel 6.1

check under maintenance - If your phone is seen as a 7310 - then you cannot use the top 6 buttons in a 7316 or E

You cannot go under maint. to check set types on a 3x8...It sounds like you have the T7316 and your right you cannot do a feat. *81 to move the lines you are stuck with the way that works unless you upgrade to the T7316e then you can have your lines start for you at the top where they should start. I never did understand the reasoning in that deal that's way I always just buy the e's

Even with the T7316E your control unit software must be CICS or MICS R6.1 or higher to have line 1 appear on the top left button.
