Hi thought I'd put all three questions in one post.
1. Startup Programs
In Win98 I could use the msconfig program to control what programs are loaded when Windows starts, could someone tell me what I need to do to have the same control over what Win2k loads at the start up? The programs I want to disable are not in the start menu.
2. Dial Up Passwords
I have 2 dial up accounts that will not connect from Win2k, the handshake is made then it tries to validate the user name & password and it is here I get the problem. A message tells me I haven't used the right details, (but this is not so)I have right clicked on the IE icon and gone into connections and then settings, here I have carefully typed in the correct passwords, for some reason it does not save them? When I try to connect I have to put the password in again and I click the save password option but it still doesn't save them and I can't finalise the connection? The exact same settings work under Win98 so I know it must have something to do with some settings in Win2k but don't know where to look.
3. Outlook 2000
After thinking it was a good idea to change from outlook express to outlook 2000 I am not so sure anymore. The problem I have is with having different accounts. In outlook express I could click send and receive and I would be promted to make a connection, at this point I could choose which ISP I wanted to connect to, this mainly depended on if there was out going mail as all of the incoming mail from the different accounts would have no problem being downloaded from any of the accounts, the settings were set to "Any Available" but I can't seem to find a way of having this setting in outlook 2k? Does any one know a way for me to set it up the same way as it was in outlook express?
If you got this far down the page thank you Just hope you can help.
