3 Parameters

Hi everybody!
Can you please suggest me how to set three parameters (User can enter any one of the three or all) to a report?
and how to write validations to them?
Parameters are
1. based on Name field
2. Based on Date range
3. A condition like amount field > 1000
Validations like
If user enters a string value for amount parameter, i have to tell them to correst it?

You use the Set Default Values dialog box.

Use the Set Default Values dialog box to specify the default prompts you want to appear with your parameter field. This dialog box appears when you click the Set default values button in the Create Parameter Field dialog box or the Edit Parameter Field dialog box.

Click on the Help button in this dialog box for information about the options.
