We have had an office in Cheshunt for a while with an Avaya box. We have recently set up two more offices 1 in Palma and the other in London. These also have IP Office boxes in each site.

How can we get them to talk to each other? Is it possible to see if users are busy across offices? Is it also possible to share a Phone Directory?

Each site have the ISDN2e connections for the phone lines, but also ADSL / SDSL connections with VPN links.

Help is much appreciated..!

You will need VCM,s in each switch & setup VoIP between each switch

Idf the extn numbers & user names on each switch you can use Small comunity netowrking which will geve you the visibility accross sites requested.

Internal extn numbers wil be visible in the directory but you cannot share external directory numbers accros sites.

If you do not have experience of VoIP networking you may want to talk to a local maintainer who will be able to assist directly.

The UK's leading IP office reseler is located verry close to you but tek-tips rules prevent me from naming names.

Keep in mind if you're looking to do this, you're going to need a network assessment (if one hasn't already been done) in order for Avaya to support it.
