have a partner acs R6 with partner messaging (2 port)In the messaging manual found where you can set max digits to 3.Were trying to set up a bunch of exts 400>450 (they are mail boxes only)we were able to make box 400(as a test) but cant seem to get to it from auto attendent. Is it possible ?if so what are we missing in programing of the mail or acs??? (sub wants there mail boxes to be same as radio call numbers thats y they want the 3 digit boxes)

Yes, you can set the maximum digit length to 3 digits, and build mailboxes in the 400-499 range. Make sure that you don't have any mailboxes in the 40-49 range. Make sure that selector code 4 is set to Direct Extension Transfer. When calling actual 2 digit extensions, you will find a slight pause while the system times out waiting for you to dial that 3rd digit, and you can dial 2 digits and # to speed it up. Oh, and set the phone status of the 400 series mailboxes as NO phone. To transfer a live caller to one of the 400 series mailboxes, you will transfer to 777, wait for voice mail to answer, then dial *8 and the 400 series number.
