dave or old i seen in the extension exchange a 3-d square that would spin on mouse drag.i would like to create one of these but the fla.s on the extension were not very helpful.i want to have it where each side of the square would be a different photo that the user can view by dragging the mouse.are there any/and if so can you point the way to a good tutorial on this.this is something that i really want to learn how to do.

ps: i see the old man made his way back to the forum! was kinda boring reading the post with out your sly humor in them.

that will work if that's all i can get.but what i was really looking for was this...

scroll down to the 3-d rectangle and triangle featured extension section.was wondering if i could do one of those with my pics on each side..but if not the link for bryce will work..but then i will have to animate the bryce file save it as a gif.seq , due to the fact that flash doesn't support bryce files. then i have to animate the sequence files in flash myself? is that right? sheeeeeeeeeesh..and even if i use the bryce animation i will not be able to do the on drag mouse event will i ?

That said! I just found these:

Cool... But no .fla!

Luckily(?) it seems an adaptation from this one:

This one which is kind of nice... But not in Flash!

This one looks a lot like the second link above:

... and comes from here: ... and in Russian!

And finally this one done with Director 7 (Macromedia) that crashed my browser a few times... Before I got to see it!

Guess you have enough for today!

;-)

the 3-d.zip is the one , but never mind . it would take me all day just to type in the action script for that one . hey what is the little red flag on the frames with actions and then some text follows in the following frames ?

Type? What about Copy & Paste?
Red Flag! Very different use than on these forums, where it is called for almost any reason!
In Flash, it's just to indicate it's a comment rather than a label. An added description to help the comprehension of the timeline.

B-)

you know what! you are right that whole copy and paste thing would be suffice. you my friend are a genious. bitter about the whole redflag, round picnic table thingy. but a d.a.m.n. genious..just for that i will buy you a cup of coffee..and the cup looks like a star for some reason..huh, i can't figure it out..anyway thanks old man..
