I've just started using the 3-d button on my drawing toolbar and have run into a "feature" I don't like. After using the 3-d button, ALL objects are drawn as 3-d objects. I can't find a way to turn it off. I have to draw the object and then select it and turn off the 3-d. Anyone else seen this behavior?
Thanks. George K

Sorry, I forgot: I'm running Office 2000 on Win 2000. Thanks again. GK

Is this from the same application or other applications? I have office 2000 (but not win2K), and I don't see this. I will try a couple of other things, and let you know.

Once again, my apologies. I keep forgetting this is an OFFICE forum. I am referring to Excel 2000. When I first open it up I can draw objects (squares, circles, text boxes, etc.) with no problem. BUT once I use the 3-D button, then all objects I draw afterward are drawn in 3-D. I can't find a way to turn it off. Thanks. George K

George, I can't get it to fail. Try a couple of things:

1. Start XL with the following switch: /s immediately after the .exe file for Excel. Run it from the START-RUn command. (for more info on switches, take a look at the following faq: faq68-1371)

2. Try creating the 3-D diagrams. If it still fails (you can continue to draw in 3-D), rather drastically, re-register Excel, again using a switch as detailed in the faq above.

I have tried 97 and 2000 and neither of them fail, so I am not sure whats going on.
