Are there patches out for the 4.0 already? We are upgrading one soon and I wasn't sure if there are new patches for it out yet.

Thanks!

Service update 1 for release 4.0 came out a month or so ago. There are a few other patches that have come out since SU1 was released.

Please read this about to BCM 4.0 upgrades from 3.7

Nortel:
BULLETIN ID: 2007007876, Rev 1
PUBLISHED: 2007-04-04
STATUS: Active

If a BCM 3.7 has either of two specific core patches installed, and is upgraded to BCM 4.0, it is possible that the system
will cold start telephony services and cause the loss of all telephony programming.
Analysis:
If a BCM running 3.7 softwarwe has either of the following core patches installed:
BCM370.202-CORE
BCM370.208-CORE
and is upgraded to BCM 4.0, it is possible that the system will cold start telephony services and cause the loss of all
telephony programming.
The telephony configuration would have to reprogrammed by hand.
There is no workaround at this time.
This issue is being investigated and this bulletin will be updated as information becomes available.
Recommendations:
Nortel recommends that BCM 3.7 systems be checked before upgrade to determine if either BCM370.202-CORE or
BCM370.208-CORE have been applied.
If either patch is present on the BCM 3.7, Nortel recommends that an upgrade be delayed until Nortel has provided a
solution.
