Hi guys..

Just to let everyone know, I'm still new at this, but everyone's been helpin me alot, and I appreciate it..

I just got reading the CCM Extension Mobility Help doc's.. I kind of wanted to set this up, but I'm getting confused (go figure huh, ha ha) Anyway, I'm getting the feeling that I can't use it, cause my entire staff has phones already assigned to each of them.. I take it that in order to use mobility, the phone the user logs into must NOT be assigned to anyone.. I'm right in saying that??

Also, I'm trying to follow this help deal step by step but it seems to jump around alot.. adding to the confusion that's already maxed out..

from my explanation of what we have, just tell me this, does it sound possible for me to able to use mobility with the current environment??
thanks!

The phone that a user logs into can be "assigned" to anyone. Simply setup the phone as you normally would. Be sure to subscribe to the E-mobility service for the specific phone ("subscribe/unsuscribe services" link is located on the upper-right-hand of the page for a phone). This is, of course, assuming you have configured the E-mobility service.

Once that is done, create the device profile. Be sure to subscribe to the E-mobility service in the device profile (so the user can logout). You'll run into trouble if someone logs into a phone but is unable to logout (then no-one else will be able to login to that phone, unless the admin forces a logout or if the system is configured to auto-logout after x-amount of hours).

Hope this helps.

hhmm.. I'm unable to add any service at all inside the Device Profile I've created.. does this mean I don't have Services in general configured correctly?

I can add it via the Device itself, but not in the device profile..
